Rev. Craig Wright - Pastor

Rev. Craig Wright became the pastor of FPC in March of 2009.  He was a graduate of Turlock High School in 1979, so he is no stranger to Turlock.    Craig attended Bethany Bible College (Santa Cruz)after high school receiving a BA in Biblical Studies and a "dangerous" introduction to Reformed Theology from a Princeton trained professor. The seed of Grace took some years to mature, but eventually flourished and led Craig to the Presbyterian Church USA.  After finishing graduate studies with Fuller Theological Seminary, he became an ordained minister in the PCUSA.  Craig and Marcy and their 6 children have become an active part of the life of our church.  It is safe to say that he has one particular passion with two applications.  That passion is "feeding people."  First, feeding  through preaching and teaching.  Opening up God's Word and the Gospel of Grace to all who gather here.  Secondly, food and hospitality ministry.  Gathering around tables for meals with Friends and church family is a high priority.  He likes to think of himself as a cheerleader for fellowship and hospitality.  Pastor Craig has emphasized the idea of our church being "inwardly Strong and Outwardly Focused,"  always making room at the table for more.  He is fond of saying, "if your not having fun, then your doing it wrong."  We invite you all to join us at the table of the Lord.

                          John Armes - Choir Director

John Armes started at Turlock Presbyterian in August 2010 as the choir director. John is a graduate of Hughson High School and is currently a senior attending CSU, Stanislaus. He is pursuing a Bachelor of Music degree with a concentration in choral music. He has taken choral literature, methods, and conducting classes from Dr. Daniel Afonso Jr., and voice lessons from Dr. Joseph Wiggett. John is also heavily involved in the Boy Scout program, and is proud to be an Eagle scout. John is excited to be the new choir director at Turlock Presbyterian, he truly believes that music can move the body and soul in worship, and the emotions evoked from praise music can be so powerful and emotional. He hopes you will come join the choir and celebrate the words of God. "I love working with this group, they are so fun and spiritual, I hope you will join us!"
